Why I'm Running For President
When I was a child in school, I had wonderful teachers who always told me I could be anything I wanted to be. I always knew that if I put my mind to it, I could and would do anything I wanted to do. Therefore, I have decided to put my mind to being President of the United States. If Barack Obama, a man who started life as a poor minority can be President, so can I.
I have always been very much interested in government and the democratic process. I believe that the people should be involved in the operation of their government if they are going to take advantage of the benefits of their government.
There are aspects of all political parties that I like and I want to strive for common ground. I think that all of the political parties out there have good tenets to them and I want to try to bring those good things into one package. I believe that if we can all work together and try to find a compromise on major issues, we can all be happy.
I have decided to wait 28 years to be on the ballot so I have time to build my platform and get to know the American people. 28 years will give me time to get experience in the working world and interact with the people who I would represent.
